shuttle Blocks, which we think will run us until next season for cutting timber. Our books show in a/c's [abbreviation for accounts?] due us $2200.00 with about $1000.00 in unfinished work in the mill that will go out in the course of 10 days. We are indebted to sundry parties to the amt. of about $800.00 Bills Payable a/c. shows notes outstanding $8830.57 Slaughter commenced to worry about the note of $700.00 we owed the Fidelity Bank and we paid that some time ago. If we can ever get in shape to turn out the work faster there will be a handsome profit in the business. We have kept several details accts. of the cost of Bobbins spools &.c. and in every instance it worked out not less than from 33 ⅓% to 50% profit. But it makes no difference what the profit is. If the out put doesn't equal the cost of running, no money can be made. I trust we can remedy this evil in the future. We could have made twice the work we
