getting better I know I am daily growing weaker. Mother is distressed over me, and I must acknowledge that I feel very despondent over my condition. Today I am scarcely able to sit up, but will make an attempt to write. Mother, Bettie (she is here now) and I think the selection of monument, inscription and verse very handsome, and appropriate - nothing could be sweeter than the verse. We think the initials preferable, and would be very handsome if made to stand in out bold belief. I
