he has plucked a fair flower here on earth to supplant in his Heavenly vineyard. I trust you will find consolation in Him and know that he has just gone a little ahead and soon we shall all go to our eternal home to live forever. Yet to be cut off in the hey day of his youth & strength will all that makes life worth[?] having before him to go out along into the dark cruel night of death and leave behind those things that seem even fairer and dearer now and say good-bye is hard to bear and think God just but we must have faith and believe this great trouble to be a good ending. May God bless you and your little one to [Journ]ey [o]n through your numbered days and when called to join your dear ones be ready to answer the final summons. Please write me as soon as you feel able all regarding Mr. Jones[sic] death. All of our family tender our sympathy to you and have sorrowful hearts. With a true love an impressed heart I write you this Mattie though I am not able to give you much comfort as I have never gone through such grief. I shall ever remember you with sympathy & love

Yours lovingly Mollie
