Dear Richard -

Your letter came duly to hand and would have been answered promptly, but I have been confined to my room and bed most of the time. Have had several hard spells of pain since you left, and am yet very weak. Please accept many thanks for your kindness in sending prescriptions. My Dr. thinks they are very good and seems to favor their use. Nannie and little May are with us. May seems very bright and playful this morning. Nannie expects to take baby to Mrs. Snow to day and spend some time. Nannie says she will write to-morrow. Jones wrote me this A. M. that Kinney would take our tobacco. Don't you think it would cost less to pay Jone's Com. than it would to ship to Richmond and pay freight and drayage storage brokers com. &c? It seems to me it would be best, unless we can realize much better price for it per lb.
