promised me their order in future when in want of certain grades. I saw our cutters, and dont [sic] think the samples do the tobacco justice by a good deal. The samples I have here are 50% better and I think I drew samples that would fairly reppresent (Correction: represent). However, Watkins or rather his clerk, said he thought we would get our price in 30 or 60 days. Tobacco is cheaper in Richmond than here. I noticed the market closely Wednesday and I feel sure it was at least 25% below Durham on new tobacco. I filled Pinkertons order while there and forwarded to him. Parrish has his opening sale tomorrow, Tuesday. Smith says he will better rent to 1st Jan., next Wednesday as they have failed to get all of their tobacco
