Dear Mattie-

Enclosed find ten dollars-$10.00 for Washington trip. It happened to be convenient today as I had that much on hand, I don't think it is sufficient so let me know how much you need, and you shall have it. I want you to leave yourself a margin for pocket change for you must not go with out [sic] a little over the costs of your ticket, so say how much it will take and it will be sent by me. Wil[l] send the dress soon-and in plenty of time for the trip
