Cozart came to me this morning and said he had contract for 100000 lbs. old smokers to be bought and delivered by the first of Feb. next, but did not have the money to pay for it, and proposes, if we will furnish the money, (or rather if you will furnish the money) for of course I have none, he would give us half the profits, provided the money would be furnished to buy 200000 lbs. new smokers which he has contract for to be delivered next fall. I told him to give me a few days and I would give an answer, consequently I write you. Please let me hear from you at once in regard to it, so I may know what to say to him. I think the contract for the old a good thing, as the money would
