By order of The School Committee of the Town of Durham as Secretary of said Committee, I am instructed to say to you that the Committee will rent the Graded School building for one year, with the privilege of three years at an annual rental of $500.00 per year. As we have two schools to run instead of one, as formerly, we are of necessity bound to curtail expenses as much as possible & the Committee does not see how it can pay over $500 for year rent - Rent to commence Sept. 1/87
