Lynchburg, Va I am sorry to hear through Mr. Rogers that you think of locating in Lynchburg or any where else but Durham. it is true that our people have not taken the stock in the proposed mills that they should have, but you must remember that the most of us have all we can stand up to. we are trying to hold up the price of real estate & that has loaded us down still it is to your interest for us to [close?]. I now learn that Mr. Carr's scheme for the boom & sale of the land Cos [companies] is about completed & that it will be pushed through at a lively rate. You should settle with us by all means & help us to build up the town and thereby help yourself by increasing the value of your holdings here
