Dear Richard -

Your esteemed letter of 2" inst. just recieved (Correction: received) and noted. Am glad to find you safely across the waters. We are getting things in right good shape at the mill now have filled some orders for shuttles and have several other orders under way that will be shipped in a few days. We also have an order for Bobbins that will be completed and shipped in a few days. We have a good many other orders to fill. Could get along better if we had plenty of dry timber. The mill is not self sustaining yet as we have had no returns from goods shipped yet. I hope the business will pay. But it requires a great deal of money to buy stock. Durham I think is looking up some. The old Reams ware house has been rented by the Alliance and is being run very successfully. I hav'nt (Correction: haven't) heard
