Description: Portrait of Alma Ivey from New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended the Wesleyan Female Institute in Staunton, Virginia where she was fatally stricken with typhoid fever in 1882. The photo was taken at Edmund Berkeley's studio in Staunton, Virginia.
